WHAT IS LAW?
In India, legal education refers to the education of lawyers prior to their entry into practise. Traditional universities and specialised law institutions in India offer legal education at various levels after fulfilment of an undergrad course or as an integrated degree. The Bar Council of India, a statutory body formed under section 4 of the Advocates Act 1961, regulates legal education in India. The Bar Council of India must approve every institution that provides legal education in India.
In most of India’s autonomous law schools, entrance to LLB and LLM programmes is based on performance in the Common Law Admission Test as of 2012. (CLAT). The National Law University in Delhi and the private autonomous law schools, on the other hand, administer their own admissions exams. AILET, LSAT, BVP, and AMU Law entrance examinations are some of the other entrance exams accessible in India for law school admission.

Benefits of a Law Degree
- When you study LLB at a reputable college, you build a solid basis on which to build a satisfying profession in the future.
- The legal industry is one example of where experience gained in one field can be applied to other fields. For example, if you have served as a criminal lawyer, the experience you have gained will come in handy if you chose to work for a corporation.
- A vocation is useless if it does not provide you with financial security. If you have an LLB degree and can offer the outcomes, you will be able to earn a lot of money. For criminal or civil lawyers, the sky is the limit in terms of earning potential.
- To be successful in this field, you must have a thorough awareness of the legal and judicial systems, as well as their flaws. Even while it is morally wrong to shape the law to serve one’s own interests that is what this career is for, and what is expected of you as a lawyer.
- You will become a well-known name in society as your credibility and expertise in the field grow. Many top judges and lawyers are as competent as legislators, and they are frequently consulted when new legislation are enacted locally, nationally, and at international levels.
- You can set your own working hours as you gain experience and credibility in this field. Your every minute costs will be taken into account as you become a well-known and respected lawyer, and your courtroom debates will not be treated lightly.
