How to select CLAT coaching centres:
Establishment
When a coaching centre has been established gives a fair idea about its experience and credibility. A centre having years of experience promises far better results as compared to newer ones. Older centres also develop good contacts and collaborations needed to excel in the required field. Moreover, the overall makeup of the education program is also time-tested giving students the most refined form of teaching.
Batch strength
Overcrowding takes the toll on students’ performance. If the batches contain more no. of students, the teachers will be unable to give due attention to all, leading to incomplete or improper guidance. All this can be reflected in the students’ performance. This should ideally be standardised by the education department, but it is not done. Hence, smaller batches of 25 to 30 students are preferable. Students can take a note of this feature when selecting the coaching centre.
Teachers
The coaching centre stands up on the caliber of its teachers before anything else. The teachers should be experienced, understanding and constantly updated to give good classes for the students. Teachers from a Law background are of choice and should be considered as the first preference. Teachers often develop a name for them and are sometimes recognised more than the centre they work for. Also, teachers having a good career in the court can be preferred provided they have a good knack of teaching.
Study Material
The study material provided by the Institute is of utmost importance as it is one single element that stays with the student forever. It is supposed to be the best companion of any student in any competitive examination. It needs to be well structured, understandable and updated every now and then.
Academic track record
The track record of the Institute always enhances its reliability and the consistency with which it works. While older coaching centres are quite used to working this way, the newer ones need to set up a workflow that will enhance their performance year by year. When most students are placed in the top Law colleges, it gives the teachers as well as the aspiring students the proper scale to decide upon the correct coaching institute.
