Scope after Passing CLAT Exam:
The recruitment of law graduates has reached a new high with the introduction of a number of law firms. These businesses not only handle litigation, but also assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, due diligence audits, and a variety of other services. During campus recruitment drives, these corporations make a beeline towards elite law schools, particularly the National Law Schools, to recruit the best minds. Most of these firms provide attractive salary packages to young law recruits, which is attracting a large number of law grads. These law firms give young law graduates annual salaries ranging from Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh, depending on the prestige of the law firms and the academic background of the candidate.
On the other side, law graduates who want to practise law do not usually participate in university recruitment and instead look for a traditional litigation law firm or choose to work under a Senior Advocate. They are okay with a reasonable salary plan, but have their sights set on learning the ropes of the trade. They are eager to be trained by an expert in the chosen area and are content with a moderate remuneration package. Most of these law companies or established lawyers pay these freshers anything between Rs.3 lakh and Rs.5 lakh, since having efficient hands and retaining talent are both vital to them.
