  • Firstly, the National Pension Scheme (NPS) deducted for all Govt. employees – 10% of basic salary that is Rs. 4490.
  • Secondly, the Employee Provident Fund (EPF), applicable to each Govt. employee – that is 12% of the basic salary given. For instance, in this case, it is Rs.5538
  • Thirdly, the Taxes and TDS will all be deducted before the gross salary is paid to the employee.
  • Lastly, Complete deductions made before in hand SSC CGL salary – EPF+ NPS+ TDS+ various other taxes = Rs. 9000 ( subject to variation)
