The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Exam (The HPPSC or the HPAS Exam) is a state government-level examination that results in various state government-level positions in the Himachal State Government for qualified candidates. 2.The HPPSC HPAS Mains Exam Syllabus
The Mains Exam is made up of a total of 8 papers. Out of these 8 papers, the first two papers, i.e., the English and Hindi papers are qualifying papers. This is because a candidate must score a minimum of 40% in the Hindi and English paper in order to pass. After achieving this score, a candidate will be able to attempt the remaining papers.
For papers 7 and 8, candidates get to choose 2 optional subjects from a list of 31 (given below). The questions under these topics would be of an honour’s degree level, i.e., above an undergraduate or bachelor’s level but below a master’s level.
