The Bihar Public Service Commission has published the BPSC Eligibility Criteria in an official notification.

Candidates must understand the BPSC Eligibility Criteria, such as age limits, nationality, and educational qualifications required, before applying for the vacancies advertised under the Combined Competitive Exam.

To be eligible for open positions, an applicant must meet the minimal eligibility requirements. If the applicant does not meet these qualifications, they will not be allowed to apply for BPSC recruitment.

1) Nationality

• Candidates must be Indian citizens to be considered for BPSC recruitment. They must have the necessary documentation to demonstrate their Indian citizenship.

  • There is a 5-year age relaxation for ex-servicemen (Permanent Service Commission etc.).
  • There is a 5-year age relaxation for ex-servicemen (Short Service Commission etc.).
  • There is a 5-year age relaxation for government employees.
  • There is a 10-year age relaxation for Divyang people.

3) Educational Qualification

A graduate degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification is required.

4) Physical fitness

Candidates for the Bihar Police Department are required to meet a minimum physical requirement. If a candidate does not fulfil the BPSC Eligibility for Physical Standards, they will not be eligible for the recruitment process. The physical requirements for different categories are as follows:
