WHAT IS CLAT EXAM?

This exam is only open for citizens of India and Non-Resident Indians
For Under Graduate Courses:
- Candidates must have graduated from a recognised institution or college with a senior secondary diploma.
- A minimum of 45 percent in the General Category and 40 percent in the SC/ST Category is required.
- There are no upper age restrictions.
For Post Graduate Courses
- An applicant must hold an LLB or BL degree from a recognised university or board.
- For the General Category, a minimum of 50% is required, while for the SC/ST category, a minimum of 45 percent is required.
- Candidate’s age is unrestricted; there is no higher age limit.
CLAT Exam 2022
The CLAT PG 2022 exam will be conducted on May 8, 2022. The application forms were made available from Jan 1, 2022, and will be available until Mar 31, 2022.
CLAT Exam Pattern & Syllabus:
- Exam duration is of 2 hours
- CLAT UG: question paper consists of 150 MCQ (multiple – choice questions)
The examination consists of five sections: English Language, Current Affairs (including GK), legal reasoning, logical reasoning and quantitative techniques (Maths).
Marks weightage is generally as: English -30, Current Affairs – 37, Quantitative (Maths) – 15, logical reasoning – 30 & legal aptitude – 38.

Subjects: Constitutional Law, Other Law subjects: Contracts, Tort, Criminal Law. International Law, IPR and Jurisprudence
Marks weightage is generally as: Constitutional Law: 60 and Others: 60
- Marking: 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
